To all my Canadian girls, I hope you had the happiest of Canada Day Weekends! Tomorrow is the big day, and no matter how you're celebrating here is some red & white outfit inspiration to get you into the spirit of things. American friends don't despair, add on a blue accessory or nail colour and you're good to go for July 4th!

Throw on a dress that will leave you with room for dessert and has some cut outs to keep cool. Accessorize with a statement belt and metallic accessories to keep things casual and cute.

Shorts | Sneakers | Sweater | Necklace
Wear comfortable shoes in case you need to walk or climb to the best seat in the house. A sweater is always a good idea when you're going to be out and about once the cool summer night settles in. Don't forget a blanket or towel if you think you're going to be sitting on the ground!
Whether a bikini or full piece is more your style, now is the time to treat yourself to that beautiful new suit. A breezy beach coverup is perfect for when you want to head into town or go for lunch or dinner. Floppy beach hats are the perfect way to add practical glamour to your beach or pool attire. Grab your favourite sunnies and your SPF and you're ready for a day beach or poolside.

How are you spending Canada/Independence Day?

I will admit that I am not typically one to launch myself into new experiences, but after a few weeks of feeling incredible for making the leap into a new project I felt like I needed to put a reminder out there to never limit yourself. Even just a small step in an unfamiliar or uncomfortable direction can open so many doors.

Days are getting longer, temperatures are rising and the sun has finally come out to play. Spring is on it's way, finally. What better way to start incorporating a bit of the coming season into your wardrobe than with a spring inspired mani? Here are some of my top budget picks.

Looking for a less expensive dupe for Essie's famous Bikini So Teeny? Revlon's Dreamer comes pretty close with just a little less of a purple hue. If you're looking for something sheer and neutral, Finger Paint's Pastel-Me More is a beautiful pearly peachy-pink that looks very polished and chic. Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen is a great budget pick for the mint craze that doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. Julie G 9 to 5 is a beautiful bright creamsicle colour that I get compliments on every time I wear it. It looks subtle indoors but seems to glow once you step outside. And finally, Revlon's Gum Drop is a soft lavendar that actually smells like candy. Strange, but the colour is very flattering without being too bold.

What's your favourite polish pick for spring?
