New Year's Eve is upon us and while different plans call for vastly different outfits, nails are something that can be glammed up no matter the occasion! As I've mentioned before, I'm a bit of magpie when it comes to sparkle, and what better time to go full out then New Year's. Here are my top picks for NYE nails in a range of prices and shades to compliment whatever you are wearing to ring in 2014.

Orly Rage // Essie Hor D'oeuvres // China Glaze Loreli's Tiara // Revlon Facets of Fuchsia // Deborah Lippman Cleopatara

For those who can't be fussed with glitter or may be going glitter crazy for makeup or outfit, Orly Rage is the perfect glamorous accompaniment to a NYE ensemble. If you're into beauty or fashion you know that rose gold is just massive, and conveniently can pair with any other gold or silver jewelry. You can find Orly polishes at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Another chameleon polish is Essie's Hor D'oeuvres. This has been my favourite for the holiday season. It has flecks of silver and gold, and boy does it shine. I believe it is part of their holiday collection, available at most drugstores.

Loreli's Tiara is what I think of as a classic New Year's Polish. The most packed glitter I own, this silver-blue polish is crazy beautiful and guaranteed to get noticed. China Glaze polishes are also found at Sally's.

Another drugstore contender that is a little more subtle, Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia, though it may be called something else in some locations, is a great option for those who don't want in your face glitter. I recommend putting down a black polish first as the black base in this is fairly sheer, but this is still a great contender especially if you want to add a little colour outside of the typical black gold or silver.

And finally, the most expensive out of the bunch, Deborah Lippman's Cleopatara. I got this in a Sephora set for Christmas and it just screams New Year's to me. A little less glitz than Loreli's Tiara, but still striking.

I am still debating which of these lovely polishes I'm going to be sporting tonight, but as with most things in my life, it will probably be a game time decision. That's the beauty of nail polish: slap it on, apply a quick dry topcoat and you're ready for whatever!

Which of these sparkles catch your eye?

Whatever shenanigans you may be up to tonight, I wish you a safe and Happy New Year's, and look forward to a special treat from me for the start of 2014!

Originally I was going to title this "Winter Fashion Essentials", but let's be real; If you have experienced an Ontario Winter, it's where fashion goes to die. 90% of the time I am in work clothes, and the other 10% I try not to leave my house. That being said, here are some of my must haves for surviving the winter without looking like a total slob.

J. Crew Saturday Pants
I have this thing where I can't seem to leave my house with sweatpants on. Even in university, the only time it ever happened was to pop over to see the convenience man next door, and even that was rare. However, going to my boyfriend's hockey games in jeans or leggings doesn't really work out for me. My Saturday Pants are the perfect marriage of leggings meets sweats. They have actual shape like leggings, but they're thick and cozy like sweatpants. Winning.

Knit Headband
I have always been a headband fan. Even though they may not be quite as practical as a regular old hat, they don't give you hat hair which is worth it for me. I love the deep burgundy colour because the majority of the rest of what I'm wearing, at least on the outside, is always neutral. It's nice to throw in a bit of colour now and then.

Down Jacket
I used to roll my eyes and laugh at anyone who dropped major coin on a jacket, but last year I invested in a Nobis Luna and it has seriously been one of my best purchases ever. I use it every single day in the winter and it is like being wrapped up in a heated blanket. I like this brand/model in particular because it is way more streamlined than the Canada Goose type puffy jacket. Hint: I tried one on in a regular retail store so I knew what size I was, then found on off Kajiji new with tags for something like 40% off!

Fleece Lined Tights
These things are a godsend. I still like wearing dresses and skirts in the winter, and it is because of these that it is even possible. A bunch of stores are selling them now so they should be fairly easy to find. Anyone in Toronto should check out the Black Market, they have them for less than $10!

Touch Screen Gloves
I will admit, I don't yet have these in my possession, but I know that when they arrive they will immediately become essentials. I have really terrible circulation to begin with so gloves are an absolute must, and taking them off is not only a hassle but also annoying because it takes my hands so long to warm back up. I ordered Glider Gloves because they have great reviews and they were on sale, but I've seen some less expensive ones at Target as well.

That wraps it up for my basic Winter essentials, nothing too exciting maybe, but they save my immune system from beating me up for 4 months of the year. I envy all you West Coasters who can get away with a peacoat for the season.

It has come time again to root through my trash and give you the lowdown on the products I used up this month. Let's just get cracking, shall we?

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Shampoo & Conditioner
Blondes are constantly told that a purple shampoo will be your best friend, so when I saw these on sale for next to nothing (usually they are on the pricier end of drugstore hair care) I bought out the bunch. It works well, but I've never really tried any other brand of purple shampoo so I guess I don't have much to compare it to. The purple conditioner I've been told is pretty unnecessary, but since I only put shampoo on my roots, I like to make sure my colour is even.

Recommendation? If you have something that you love, maybe cool your jets and stick with it. If you're looking for a recommendation that won't break the bank, I would definitely check it out.

Redken Extreme Strength Builder Plus Fortifying Mask
Over the past year I've been going back and forth on the whole protein thing. There was a period where everything and anything you used on your hair had to have proteins to make it stronger, but in this case you can definitely have too much of a good thing. Too much or too often and my hair becomes akin to a broomstick. If I were to repurchase any protein treatment, however, this would be the one.

Recommendation? I would give it a try, but just make sure you don't O.D. on the protein.

Garnier Fructis Instant Melting Masque

Yet another mask, or "masque", but this one was a meh purchase. It's been half empty for most likely one year too many and it's time to see it go. It wasn't bad, but it didn't do much for me either. It also felt a bit waxy which isn't quite the style I usually go for.

Recommendation? You could probably go ahead and skip this one.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask
And if you thought it was over, the last mask of the bunch. Can you tell I've been trying to use up my hair products? I read great reviews on this one, and since Neutrogena doesn't sell anything other than skincare in Canada I had to wait for a trip to Niagara Falls to pick this one up. The results? Didn't blow me off my feet or anything, but it did make my hair feel soft. I have used some in the past, and am currently using some that I think are better suited for the job of tackling my damaged, fine hair.

Recommendation? I might buy it again in the future if I got tired of using the same products, which I often do, but I think there are others out there that offer more. Stay tuned for more info on those.

Covergirl Stay Flawless Foundation
Heading on into the makeup category, this one was a definite win for me. The coverage was great without feeling too thick or heavy, and it lasts fabulously, pardon the pun, throughout a day at the office. SPF is an added bonus too, though that means I tend to go for something else in the evening when I know I'm going to be taking photos. Avoids the whole sickly looking backflash.

Recommendation? This definitely stacks up to some of the more expensive foundations that I've tried. Just note: it did tend to oxidize on me, so you may want to go a shade lighter.

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller
Another beauty that hits it out of the park for me. This was especially great in the summer because it's nice and light but still provides a surprising amount of coverage for something so thin. It can seem pretty pricy for what it is, but it's lasted me probably far longer than it should so I consider it worth the coin.

Recommendation? If you have serious dark circles, it may not be heavy-duty enough for you, but if you're looking for something that doesn't feel cakey for light makeup this is a great buy.

Finally, it may seem a little random, but I've included this haggard looking tube for a reason. I love this toothpaste, but be warned that not all 3D White Toothpastes perform the same! I made the mistake of letting myself wander to the "Luxe" variety and let me tell you, there is nothing Luxe about it. I'm not sure what it is, maybe the extra grittiness that it has, but I feel the original cleans and whitens so much better!

Recommendation? Go for the original or go home. I can't wait until I can get this back into my routine, as odd as that sounds.

It's amazing how much stuff I actually seem to go through when I pay attention. Though of course now that I've said that, the next one will probably be in July. Enjoy the view!

After a brief hiatus while I have been sorting out my first ever Black Friday purchase, a new laptop and TV/monitor, yay, I am back and full of ideas for DIY projects/gifts for the near future. Ready for my first HoliDIY?

Since a phone can be considered one of your most consistent accessories, many people take it as an opportunity to show off a little bit of their personal style. Mine? Customization, and storing a ton of phone cases can be a pain. I mentioned this in my 5 favourite tech accessories post, but here is the lowdown on how I make my case inserts. Note, you can also make these with scrapbook paper if that is more accessible to you. My Mum always has a stash of fun scraps around the house for me to use, I'm a lucky girl.

What you need:
  • Clear Silicone Case
  • Fabric Scraps (with a design you love)
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Fabric Pen
  • Fray Check or Starching agent (to stop fraying and make the fabric more stiff)
  • Template to use as a guide for size/shape (cases usually come with an insert that fits perfectly!)
The process is really quite simple. Use your template to trace the shape of your insert with your fabric pen (rub or wash out are best) and then cut it out. If you are using fabric, here is where you would apply your anti-fraying agent.

Tip: If you are not using a starching agent, put some anti-fray where you will eventually cut the hole for the camera. This will make it stiffer and easier to get a clean cut when you're ready!

Place your insert into your case and make any trims necessary. Put your phone back in to create a hard surface, and trace along the inside of the camera window with your fabric pen. Cut out the window and you're done!

Tip: If you have a darker phone and are using a lighter or sheer fabric/paper, cut out a sheet of white paper with the same template and put that between the fabric and your phone. It makes the colours pop and stops your phone, ahem apple logo, from peeking through.

Include a clear case and a couple inserts as a secret santa or stocking stuffer for the holidays!

Happy DIYing!

I have always been a bit of a magpie. If it’s bright or sparkly I automatically want it to be mine. While jewelry can be a bit of a personal choice, I thought I would give a bit of insight into my taste and some of the pieces that have ended up in my regular rotation.
1. Nadri Bezel Necklace
While I love a good statement piece, my most worn pieces are pretty classic because they never go out of style. This necklace is a perfect versatile piece because it can be worn long to lengthen my short torso or doubled up to appear like a two strand necklace. I have a similar necklace on a gold chain and I think either of the two are the perfect simple accessory to add to any outfit.

2.  Faux Pearl/Crystal Bracelet Set
This one was a major steal. I bought it from Joe Fresh on a whim when I was in university and they easily have been my most worn bracelets. I always come back to these because they go with everything (see a trend here) and they're comfortable and non-intrusive. They still sell them at Superstores I have been to, and the set came with 4 "pearl" strands in slightly different hues, and the gold/crystal one.

3. Michael Kors Rose Gold/White Silicone Watch
I had been lusting after one of the famous Michael Kors watches for months, however as a rather thrifty person I always cringe when I look at the high prices. My boyfriend found this watch at a US outlet and gave it to me last Christmas, and I must say, I would pay every cent for this baby! I've worn it to death this whole year. While it looks especially great with that golden glow in the summer, let's be real, I've worn it all year.

I believe this particular style has been discontinued (Style Number: MK5464) but Tyler found mine when we were shopping the outlets in Buffalo and I’m sure they can be found on Ebay. Sorry!

4.Elsa Peretti Diamonds By the Yard Silver Ring
This is one of the most precious pieces I own and I never take it off. As you can probably see by the rest of the list, this ring is the perfect everyday piece for me. It is very simple and dainty, but also pretty unique. The band being a chain makes it incredibly light and easy to wear. It doesn’t catch on things or stick out from my finger very much at all, and the simple design will never go out of style. Even though it is dainty, it's no question my most complimented piece of jewelry.

5. Pearl Earrings
Every girl with pierced ears should have a pair of pearls in her collection. Whether they are real or fake, they just look so classy and instantly make you look put together. I'm not a huge fan of earrings in general, so studs are always my style of choice, and you really can't go wrong with pearls.

If you haven't already seen the rest of the posts in this series, I've have also posted my 5 Fave Beauty Tools, Tech Accessories, and you can find more of my jewelry picks for this year on my Wish List

Tuesday, 19 November 2013

After what has felt like the longest week and a half of my life, it's nice to be back. Today I bring you the second instalment of my 5 Faves series, this time focusing on some of the most used tools in my beauty routine.

1. Clarisonic

This is quite a hefty investment piece, but it may be something to put on your wish list this year. Nothing feels quite like the Clarisonic clean. This toothbrush for your face gives it the most deeply satisfying clean and leaves my skin feeling super soft and smooth. I've been battling a bit of spottiness lately and the Clarisonic has helped me get my skin back in check.

2. Glass/Crystal File

Once you go glass, you'll never go back. To paint you a picture, I accidentally stepped on and broke my first one and was using the broken pieces while I found another to replace it. That is how much I love these. They give you the smoothest, fastest file and can be used over and over again. It also helps that the sound of filing my nails doesn't give me the shivers anymore.

3. Clipless Curling Wand

To tell you the truth, I don't even know how to curl my hair without one of these beauties. I got my Enzo Milano over 3 years ago and I absolutely adore it, but there are tons of less expensive brands that make them these days. I can curl my whole head in 15 minutes max, it's magical.

4. Tangle Teezer

This was one of those favourites that snuck (is that a word?) up on me. I heard a ton about this little bean brush and decided to take it for a test drive myself. When I first used it I really didn't see what all the hype was, but as I continued to use it and tried to go back to brushes I was using before I was shocked to find how much more painful the whole process seemed. Do not be mistaken: it doesn't magically make your hair tangle free, but as someone with massively tangle-y hair it does help cut down the ouch factor.

5. Eyelash Curler

I used to think that eyelash curlers were a waste of time. Just an extra step that didn't really do much. However, recently I've been noticing that those extra few seconds really can help to make me look more awake. Maybe it's been the up before 5 AM, 10 hour days and I've needed all the help I can get, but I find especially when I'm wearing my glasses or going for the mascara-only thing (aka tired/lazy) it really does make a difference. Not all lash curlers are created equal, but it will basically be trial and error to find one that fits the shape of your particular eyeballs.

Thursday, 7 November 2013

As I have mentioned previously, my family is all about getting the Christmas shopping done as soon as possible. Usually as the procrastinator of the family I ignore their requests from early October until the beginning of December has come and gone. Sometimes I think I must have been adopted. This year I decided to meet in the middle and give the people what they want. Here is a peek at what I came up with for this year's wish list:

Jewelry:

I am part magpie. I collect shiney sparkles things in my nest and treat them all like my precious. It's okay though since these are smaller pieces right? Not too glitter bomb? That's what I'm telling myself.

Beauty:
Clairsonic brush heads // Naked 2 Palette // Sephora Super Stars Kit

The brush heads are all practical. You are supposed to change them out every three months and mine may or may not be way overdue. The other two are pure lust. I do not need any more beauty products, least of all neutral eye shadows, but if someone else chooses to give them to me, I'd be okay with it.

Other:
Audible gift subscription // Griptight iPhone mount // Off Desk Shelf // Gift Cards

I have trouble sleeping so I've relied on the soothing voices of strangers to lull me to sleep since junior high. I also do a ton of driving between work and visiting Tyler (who lives an hour away from me) every week, so I am so ready for a subscription like Audible. YouTube and the library only have so much selection. Any other gift cards are always good. I find it almost better to shop for myself when it comes to clothing especially. The other two are just random useful items that may make an appearance in future posts!

What is on your lust list this holiday season?

Saturday, 2 November 2013

From the shift to vintage and thrifty trends to the influx of product empties posts, it seems that the blogging community is obsessed with other people's trash. And I am the first to admit, I am all about that bandwagon. Don't they always say that one mans trash is another's treasure? Well in is particular case, this trash also happens to be my treasure. In the world of products it is rare that I finish anything, so if I have it's likely pretty darn special. Or pretty awful. We've gotten over the honeymoon phase and I can see it's true colours. For some reason I have been hording empty containers of my finished products, so I might as well talk about them so I can finally throw the damn things away. Lets dive in to my bin shall we?

Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
Right off the bat, we're starting with two of my "holy grail" products. Having combo-oily acne prone skin, thank you for that blessing, always meant I was weary of super heavy facial moisturizers. I used to bite the bullet and pay $30 a pop for the Clinique Dramatically Different Gel, but when I found this stuff I was in skin heaven. The original I use during the day and it is the perfect amount of hydration without any of the greasiness of moisturizer. The "dry skin" version I use it at night, especially as the weather starts to get a bit more crisp.

Recommendation? Oily skin girls rejoice and get your butt to the checkout.

Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes
Taking off my makeup at night is one of my least favourite parts of my whole nightly routine. It's just so tedious and can take a bit of elbow grease, and you'll still wake up to those lovely raccoon eyes. Enter: facial cleaning cloths. The lazy girls bff. But as per usual, convenience can come at a high cost. Most wipes worth their salt are fairly expensive for something you plan on using everyday. These wipes from Costco come, like everything from Costco, in what I like to call "industrial size". 150 wipes for $11? Sold. They're probably not the best ones out there but they do the job for me, and they don't cost an arm and a leg to keep the habit going. Bonus: the box comes with a couple of "travel" packs with less wipes that are perfect for my gym bag.

Recommendation? If you have access to a Costco card, I would say they are worth a try.

Bath & Body Works Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion

This has taken me probably 10 years to go through. Now that I think about it, it probably should have hit the road a long time ago. Oops. The smell was nice in small doses, but a little to strong for frequent use. It also wasn't super moisturizing, but left that tacky feeling on the skin for hours.

Recommendation? I'd say skip it. There are way better moisturizers that are easier on the wallet and the nostrils.

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser

I've used this stuff for a couple of years now, and I have no complaints. It's a super gentle cleanser that works well with the clairsonic. I've heard talk that it doesn't really do much, but it didn't seem to irritate my skin or cause me any breakouts so it's a good 'un in my books.

Recommendation? I'm trying something new right now, but I would definitely repurchase in the future as my old faithful.

Batiste/Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo
Ah, dry shampoo. One of my favourite products of all time, and another lazy girl's delight. I can't even remember my life before this stuff, is that sad? My name is Nadia, and I am a dry shampoo addict. I have learned in my years of experience, however, that all dry shampoos are not created equal.

When it comes to these two, they might appeal to different people for different reasons. The Not Your Mother's is completely transparent, so might be good for those brown haired beauties (sorry fellow Canadians, you'll have to pop over the boarder to get your hands on it). It is less expensive, however, I didn't find it to be quite as effective. Batiste on the other hand, can leave quite and obvious residue behind. As a, ahem bottle, blonde I don't mind so much. In fact, it sometimes helps blend in my roots while I'm in between visits to my favourite stylist. I actually prefer the one specifically for blondes for this reason - plus it smells heavenly. Unfortunately, it has only been spotted on rare occasions at Winners, otherwise residing over the US border with the rest of the cool new products.

Recommendation? I would definitely go for Batiste over NYM. There are apparently many colours and flavours available to my friends to the South, but even with the more limited selection in the Great White North there's bound to be a scent you don't find offensive.

And finally, my summer scent. Ralph Lauren Rocks.

This may be cheating a bit, but this bottle was graciously "donated" to me by my roommate last year sometime. At first I hardly ever touched it, but when summer hit it became my go to. It's a warm fruity scent that's not too overpowering and not too sweet. I'm not a huge fan of super sweet scents, they tend to give me a headache, but this one was just the right balance without going overboard. I loved it so much that I went on a mad hunt for it once I saw it was running low. Unfortunately, it is discontinued, but you can find it online or if you live in Toronto, in one of the tiny perfume filled stores in the Path off the Subway. I might have gotten overcharged, but I was just happy to have a steady supply.

Recommendation? If you can find it, I highly recommend you take a sniff and get it while you still can!

And that's a wrap for this month's stash of trash, out of the house it goees!

Saturday, 26 October 2013

My old roommate may shudder at the thought, but since Thanksgiving has officially come and gone, we have entered into the "holiday season". I might not be putting up the Christmas tree quite yet, but it's always good to be ahead of the game when it comes to your holiday shopping. I've already had requests from my family for wish lists. They're eager, I know.

Whether you're looking for gift ideas for yourself or for other, the posts in my upcoming "5 Faves" series will give you take a look at some of my favourite products from different categories that I would put my stamp of approval on.

1. Clear mobile case
I love being able to customize my phone's look, but good quality cases can get pretty expensive. All I need is one clear silicone case and I can change out coloured/pattered fabric or papers to get a new look whenever I want. One thing to note: the clear silicone can grab dark colours if you keep them in the pocket of your jeans.

No doubt you can find them at any phone accessory provider, or for cheap on Ebay.

2. Bamboo tablet

For those of you who are into graphic or web design, this one is a gem. While I understand these can seem pretty expensive, it is really a game changer. It makes such a difference when you have precision of a stylus. This would make a great gift to anyone interested in digital media.

3. Camera connection kit
This was one of those things that I bought off eBay on a whim, and it sat for months without being used. Then I went on vacation, and decided to bring it with me. Best idea ever. This baby let me download all my pictures off of my phone and camera without having to have a computer or internet connection. I used the USB and SD card ports to transfer all of my pictures to my iPad. It's small, so great for on the go, and for $4? Yes please.

4. iPad Keyboard
I had been looking for an iPad keyboard for a while, but thought all of the options I saw were pretty expensive for what they were. I found this one on eBay for just under $20 and it has worked out great. It makes the device way more functional for work on the go.

5. External Hard Drive
This one may seem like a "no duh" type of recommendation, but if you haven't already invested in an external drive do it. Now. Nothing is worse than having any of your devices crash and losing all the work, photos, videos, etc. that you've had for who knows how long. I had my laptop crash the week before final exams in my first year of university, and I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't backed up all of my notes.

My recommendation? Spend a little more and go the wireless route. The one I use automatically connects to my computer and backs up all of my files periodically when I'm at home. Being a forgetful person, this is incredibly handy as I don't have to rely on my own brain to keep me out of trouble.

And there you have it. My recommendations for techy accessories that you may or may not of thought about, and why they really are worth the coin. Look for more in this series coming to you over the next few months!

Enjoy the view!

After a disappointingly gloomy Sunday, Thanksgiving Monday turned out to be the most glorious of glorious fall days. Perfect for knocking the first item off of my Fall Bucket List. I don't know about the rest of my Canadian friends, but I was full to the brim of turkey and wanted to spend a little time outside getting some fresh air and exercise before going to round 3 of my Thanksgiving dinners this year. I am a champion Thanksgiving feast-er.

So we headed over to Frootogo Orchards in Waterdown, featuring everything a seasonal lover could dream of: apple and pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, corn maze, hay rides and bakery. Perfection. We were there mostly for the apples, but being a crazy animal lover I couldn't resist taking a peak at some of the little buddies.

Just look at the size of these things!
There were so many varieties of apples, and we had to pick a couple from most, so we headed home with a $20 bag of the things. Still so worth it. The orchard itself was just beautiful and smelled heavenly. If you're curious of what one wears apple picking, though I'm sure you are entirely capable of dressing yourself, see below for a breakdown of what I sported on the apple mission. Excuse the lion's mane, it was at the end of our little trip and it was looking a bit disheveled. Note corn maze in the background.

Enjoy the view!

I know January 1st is technically the start of the new year, but I guess my school days still stick with me because I've always felt like Fall is a time for fresh starts. This Fall's resolution? To finally push myself to do what I have been thinking about starting for months now. Enter The View Is Beautiful, and to put it chees-ily is that a word? thanks for stopping by! I can see us getting along just fine.

Now, let's get on with it shall we?

Even thought I typically mourn the death of warm weather, as much as I complain about it, I know I would miss the seasons if I were ever to live somewhere closer to the equator. To celebrate the start of the season, and to hold myself accountable to getting out and doing fun things, and yes I understand that is a sad concept, I decided to come up with a list of things I would like to do in the next two months.

1. Go Apple Picking
 http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2160/2058047853_8d8ba2a736_o.jpg

What could be more "fall" then strolling through an orchard with a significant other? It doesn't hurt to be able to bring home some stuffing for my mother's next pie. I love me some apple anything.

2. See the Salmon
Okay so I may have cheated a little bit. I've done this already. But September was part of fall and it was really on my bucket list, whether I let the internet know or not. Every five years or so the lady Salmon make their to lay their eggs through the rivers and creeks of Ontario. Tyler and I tried to see them last year to no avail, but this year we were in luck. More on that in my update at the end of next month.

3. Make/Carve some remarkably cute pumpkins
http://marigoldmom.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/IMG_58282.jpg
Pinterest made me do it.

4. Go horseback riding
Because I need more of these magestic creatures in my life.

5. Give my former roommate and bff a fantastic send-off

All my precious friends seem to be abandoning me these days. My bff has lived in Isreal for the past year but was home for the past two months - I will be sad to see her go. My old roommate Sam is also moving away to go up north. Way North. To the Yukon. Time to eat my feelings and send them off with a tummy full of baked goods.

6. Give my room a much needed makeover.
I will admit something: I am naturally a very unorganized, forgetful person. It's dad's fault. I am a huge pack rat that assigns sentimental value to every possession I have ever owned. Lately though I've been on a serious purging trip to rid my life of clutter and make my environment a beautifully organized haven. Time to get crafty and hit up iheartorganizing for motivation and inspiration whenever I get off track.

7. Go to Halloween Haunt or do something frighteningly festive.

original image
I'm a scarcely cat, but Ty loves a good horror experience. I'll give you a visual of what I plan on putting myself through.
Wish me luck.

8. Go to the zoo to see the Panda's, before it gets too cold.
The Toronto Zoo is open 364 days a year, but trust me when I say you want to try and get out while the weather holds. Tyler and I went last Boxing Day since it was half price, thinking that most of the animals would be in their indoor homes. I was wrong.

9. Come up with an awesome Halloween costume
Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. The crafty side of me doesn't let me get away with buying a costume when I could just as well make it myself. Besides that first year of uni where I had zero time or supplies. Still, for shame.

10. Keep this blog alive.
