Riding boots are my absolute favorite kind of footwear, so I always get excited when the fall rolls back around and I can bust out my most well loved pair. I recently found some great fall staples at Target (I just can't get enough hats!) that I used to create this cozy and casual outfit perfect for crossing one more thing off my Fall bucket list: a trip to the local apple orchard.

It was actually one year ago this week that I started this little blog or mine with an OOTD from this very same orchard! Thank you to everyone who has come along with me on this journey so far, I have really loved getting to know some of you over the past year. I am sending virtual hugs to each and every one of you!

Have you been on any fun fall outings recently?

Due to my forgetful tendencies my scheduled post for today will have to make an appearance next week, but since I had this ready to go in my drafts folder I thought I might as well take the opportunity to share a bit about me today instead. I so enjoyed reading these from other bloggers in the past few weeks so I hope you do as well!

Name/Age/Location
By now I think you would already know my name is Nadia. I'm 24 and I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Family
I'm the baby of the family, with one older brother. Together with my parents and my grandma, who I am super close with, we are a quiet, happy family and that's just how I like it!

Work
My background is in media, marketing and design, currently being put to use at a large foodservice company. Being in the food industry does have it's perks, but it isn't always good for my will power to have treats always lying around the office. I love my job. I have an amazing boss, a flexible schedule and am able to work from home at least once a week. What else could I ask for?

What I Love to Do
I have always been passionate about writing, design and photography - and the beauty of blogging is that it combines all three! When I'm not working or blogging you can find me enjoying the outdoors with Tyler and my adoptive fur baby Dakota, attempting to DIY something, or watching way too many episodes of my latest Netflix addiction.
Favorite Food
Pasta is my weakness. I could eat the tri-coloured tortelllini from my favourite restaurant for every meal. It's tossed in a pesto cream sauce that I want to buy by the gallon. Other favourites: gaucamole, hummus, and anything with mushrooms or olives. And melted cheese. Okay I'm hungry now.

Favorite Color
In typical blogger fashion, any metallic or shade in the blue-green spectrum speaks to me.

Standard Coffee Order
I don't usually drink coffee, but I am tea obsessed. If I'm making at home, my fall favourite is Pumpkin Chai from David's Tea, but you can see some of my other top recommendations here and here. My favourite drink from Starbucks is an Eggnog Chai during the holidays.
Standard Bar Order
I'm a sucker for a good Caesar. They're a Canadian thing, but seriously they taste good at any time of year or day if I'm being honest. Plus, the tomato and celery count as vegetable content right?

Places I Shop
Express, Forever21, Winners, Dynamite, Old Navy, you can see all my favourites regularly featured in my outfit posts each week!

Bedtime and Wake up Time
I'm a night owl. Since I have a pretty long commute, when you factor in gym time, cooking and eating it can be almost 9 PM by the time I have a minute of free time. I often can't go to bed until after midnight, and I will wake up between 7 and 7:30 to get ready for work. Maybe 7:45 if I'm getting too snooze-happy.

Beauty Products I Can't Live Without
As a beauty blogger this is tough, but if I had to narrow it down I could manage day to day just fine with the products in this post.
What I Blog About
The majority of my posts are fashion/beauty with some lifestyle and DIY posts thrown in every so often. I love DIYing but I'm so easily distracted that it may take me months to complete a simple project. I'm hoping to get my act together and post a series of DIY gifts for the holidays, so stay tuned!

First Blog I Read
I'm not actually sure to be honest. I've been reading blogs for so many years, and it's hard enough for me to remember what I ate for breakfast this morning. It was probably Laura's first blog, but right now she's at Buy Now, Blog Later.

How Did I Start Blogging
I had been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, but last year around this time I just decided to take the plunge. My first post was an OOTD and I've never looked back!
Why I Blog
Like I mentioned above, I love having a creative outlet for my passions and being able to share things I love with others who have similar interests. Tyler is amazingly supportive of this little hobby of mine, and I am so thankful for all of his encouragement. I've "met" some amazing people that I never would know if I hadn't started blogging, and I just wish we could all hang out together some day!

Another month has come and gone, and that means that Fall is officially upon us. This month I have a bit of a mishmash of items, so let's just crack on and get this show started!
The Remington T-Studio Silk Ceramic Hair Dryer was an accidental favourite this month. When I found myself out of town for a wedding without a hair dryer, I finally decided to upgrade my nearly ten year old clunker for something with a little more contemporary. This not only dries my hair faster, it makes it ridiculously smooth. I love that this dryer has a switch to keep the cool air on permanently for when I have a little extra time and want to keep the heat damage to a minimum. One thing to beware of: the air intake vent on the back doesn't have a cover to it so watch it doesn't suck your hair back into it - believe me it is not a fun time. If anyone has a possible solution for this that would be so very helpful!
I bought this tube of RapidLash at Ulta when I was on vacation because it seemed like the most accessible eyelash serum available. I was hesitant to start using it because of all the various horror stories that exist on the interwebs, but so far I haven't had any noticeable negative side effects and I really think it is making a difference on my lashes! I haven't been using it for the full four weeks yet (mostly because I am forgetful) but stay tuned for an empties post in the future for my full thoughts!
You probably all know by now that I'm a big fan of audiobooks. I recommend Audible to everyone I know, because who couldn't use a little multitasking goodness in their life? I "read" a few books this month, but my absolute favourite was What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. Alice has an accident at the gym that causes her to forget the past ten years of her life, taking her mentally back to when she was pregnant with her first child. This is one of those books that really makes you think, and throughout the whole book I desperately wanted to know what was coming next.
If you are a fan of Moroccan Oil, you would be dying over this Tahitian Orange & Musk candle from the Muskoka Candle Company. I have been so stingy with burning it because I won't be able to restock for two more weeks, but I am so happy to say I've finally found an accessible dupe! The Baltic Black Pearl Candle currently at B&BW is as similar a scent as I have ever come across. The Tahitian Orange & Musk is the perfect balance of warmth and richness with the tiniest bit of sweetness without being overpowering. Literally the perfect fall scent. Even Tyler - who hates scented anything - loves it! Definitely check out the B&BW version if you get the chance!
A shout out goes out here to Alyssa who reminded me that Essie makes polishes outside the pastel family. I picked  Bahama Mama up during September to replace my beloved Sally Hansen Flirt which is nowhere to be found. It seems a strange name for a deep burgundy shade, but it is absolutely beautiful on the nails! The perfect balance between a red and a straight up purple.
I don't think I really even need to say anything more except I am officially obsessed with my Inglot shadows. For more info you can check out my Review and Swatches
Battling with the "back to school" virus that seemed to make it's way to me this month, I rediscovered this gem. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightner was perfect for perking up my face and hiding those pesky dark circles that seem to have become my nemisis.
The Sugar Crush scent from Soap & Glory makes for hands down the best smelling body products in the history of the world. After falling in love with the scrub over the summer I decided to bite the bullet and cough up the $20 for the Body Buttercream, and I don't regret it one bit. It smells amazing and absorbs surprisingly fast for a thicker body cream. It's not the most moisturizing out there, but the fact that I look forward to putting it on when I get out of the shower makes it entirely worth it for someone who usually takes the lazy approach to moisturizing aka skips it.
Last but not least, a bittersweet favourite. Again I bought this Sleepytime Vanilla tea originally on vacation and loved it so much that I even went back for another box before we left Orlando. I've been having a cup of this almost every night before bed and it is both relaxing and tastes amazing! So far I haven't been able to find it in Canada so I'll be sad when this box bites the dust, but I highly recommend it to anyone with easy access.

And that wraps it up for this month! So tell me, what are a few of your favourite things this month?
