This past weekend, Tyler and I celebrated our anniversary with a day trip to the Toronto Islands. If you are in the Toronto area and you've never visited the islands in the summer, you're seriously missing out. It's like a self-contained beach town that's a quick ten minute ferry ride over from downtown Toronto.

The weather was perfection, so we brought a lunch and found a quiet place by the water to have a picnic, crossing one more thing off my summer bucket list.
It's easy to forget you're so close to the city when you're lounging on the beach with nothing but water in the distance. It is perfect place to spend a little Staycation if you're in the GTA!
